1. About Vitalex Ltd

Vitalex Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16068365. Our registered office is The Stamp Exchange, 7 Westgate Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1SA. Our website is www.vitalexltd.co.uk.

2. Our commitment

Vitalex Ltd wants its website and digital information to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies or have visual, hearing, motor, cognitive or other access needs.

As a private-sector business, Vitalex Ltd does not present this statement as though the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations automatically apply to us simply because we supply or intend to supply public-sector healthcare organisations. We nevertheless aim to provide accessible services and to make reasonable adjustments where required under applicable equality law.

3. Accessibility standard we are working towards

Our target technical benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Until the completed live website has been tested, we do not claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance.

Our design and development approach should support, so far as reasonably practicable:

  • ▪ keyboard navigation without requiring a mouse;
  • ▪ clear headings, labels, instructions and focus states;
  • ▪ sufficient colour contrast and information that is not conveyed by colour alone;
  • ▪ text resizing and responsive layouts without loss of essential content;
  • ▪ meaningful alternative text for informative images;
  • ▪ accessible form fields, errors and validation messages;
  • ▪ links whose purpose can be understood from their context;
  • ▪ appropriate semantic structure for screen readers;
  • ▪ accessible product tables and downloadable documents where practicable; and
  • ▪ an accessible sustainability calculator, including keyboard access, programmatic labels, understandable units, assumptions and result announcements.

4. Documents and third-party content

Some product specifications, certificates, declarations, instructions for use or other documents may originate from manufacturers or third parties. We will aim to provide accessible versions where reasonably practicable. If a document is difficult to use with your assistive technology, contact us and we will try to provide the information in an alternative accessible format.

Third-party embedded content, mapping tools or external websites may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control. Where possible, we will provide an alternative route to the same essential information.

5. Known limitations

This statement will be updated with the findings of our formal accessibility audit and any material limitations, workarounds and planned remediation dates once that testing is complete. Until then, we do not list unverified “known issues” or claim that none exist.

6. Feedback and alternative formats

If you have difficulty accessing information on our website, need a document in a different format, or want to report an accessibility problem, contact customerservices@vitalexltd.co.uk. Please tell us the page or document involved, the problem you encountered and, if relevant, the assistive technology or format that would help.

We will consider reasonable adjustments and aim to respond promptly. Complex requests may take longer where we need to obtain information from a manufacturer or convert technical documentation.

7. Preparation and review of this statement

This statement is reviewed after the live website has been tested and thereafter at least annually, or sooner following a significant redesign, new digital service or material accessibility issue.
